Netflix is giving fans a sneak peek at their newest reality show. Calabasas Confidential will star the children of celebrities, content creators and other up-and-comers in the Los Angeles area.
Many of those featured in the show are in their 20s and finding their way into the adult world. These kids, fresh out of college, will see their past catch up with them as they confront the drama that comes with it. Many will deal with unresolved issues with others in the program.
The Netflix reality TV slate continues to expand
Fans got a snippet of what to expect on this show recently. The synopsis, revealed exclusively by People, reads: “A group of lifelong friends, foes and exes return to Calabasas for a summer they’ll never forget.” It goes on to say that while four years put distance between the stars of this new show, “new flames, old feuds and unexpected secrets don’t stay hidden forever.”
Netflix revealed the new show in April. Calabasas may ring a bell to reality TV fans. That is where perhaps the most popular reality show, The Kardashians, is filmed. This upcoming program suggests that Bravo, known for its countless reality shows, may have a little competition on its hands.
The cast of the new Calabasas series includes two of former NBA star Scottie Pippen’s kids, Preston and Larsa. In addition Brett Michael’s daughter Raine, Master P’s son Hercy Miller and Jordyn Woods’ sister Jodie will be there. Audiences will be taken on a journey with them and numerous others in their early 20s through their TikTok profiles. In one of the trailer clips, cast member Nicole Sahebi admits, “It was good to see familiar faces, but now I’m back in the bubble.”
Calabasas Confidential will be available on Netflix beginning on May 29.
