Pentagon‘s latest website dedicated to releasing declassified UFO files has received millions of visits within hours of its launch. The Pentagon’s chief spokesman recently posted on social media, announcing the release. President Donald Trump has also addressed the declassification in a recent Truth Social post.
Pentagon releases ‘never seen before’ UFO files
The Pentagon launched a new website on May 8 that features declassified images and documents on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The files were publicly released upon President Donald Trump’s recent directive on transparency regarding extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has also given a statement regarding the declassification. “The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena,” he said.
Hegseth added, “These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves. This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency.”
Additionally, Trump has announced the release of the UAP files in a recent Truth Social post. “In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects,” the POTUS wrote.
According to chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell, the website has received millions of visitors within the first 12 hours of its release. “In just 12 hours, the site has received 340 MILLION hits from Americans and truth seekers worldwide seeking unfiltered UAP information,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“This overwhelming response underscores the Trump administration’s strong commitment to openness. President Trump has delivered on the public’s demand for the truth,” Parnell added.
The Pentagon spokesman concluded, “The Department will continue expanding this UAP transparency initiative to ensure Americans have direct access to the information they deserve.”
