Donald Trump has mocked the Democrats while speaking to reporters at a recent White House event. The US President made the bold remark while announcing a new website that aims to provide aid and support to mothers.
Donald Trump slams democrats amid website promotion
During a maternal healthcare event at the White House on Monday, Donald Trump unveiled the new resource platform moms.gov, dedicated to expecting or new mothers. While announcing the website, the president took a detour from his prepared statement to slam the Democrats.
Trump said, “I was hunted by some very bad people.” He continued, “And now I am the hunter. It’s much better when you are the hunter. But these are bad people. And they’ll give you no support at all. No matter how good it is. I’ll give you an example. I don’t know the numbers.” The POTUS added, “If we go to Congress to get something approved, which we get, but you can say we won’t get one Democrat vote.”
Trump went on to coin a new term to mock the Democrats. He said, “I don’t know how they get away with it. That’s why we call them the ‘Dumbocrats.’ The ‘Dumbocrats.’ Because they’re dumb. They just can’t do it.”
In conclusion, the 79-year-old politician added, “I’ve been waiting for them to change. But they just keep losing. And they’re going to keep losing with their policies.”
During the Monday event, Trump also weighed in on the recent Hantavirus outbreak. “Now, the one thing with this one is that it’s much harder to catch. It’s been around a long time, people are very familiar with it,” the POTUS said. “It seems like it is not easy to spread; in fact, in certain ways, it’s very hard to spread. We’ve lived with it for years — many years — and we think we’re in very good shape,” he further reassured.
At another instance, Trump mentioned the ongoing ceasefire with Iran, saying that it “is on life support.”
