Livvy Dunne recently opened up about the support she received from boyfriend Paul Skenes while stepping into a completely new chapter of her career with Baywatch. The former LSU gymnast spoke about balancing work and relationships while attending the Fox Upfront presentation in New York alongside her Baywatch costar Brooks Nader on May 11.

During her interview with “E! News”, Dunne shared that the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher fully supported her decision to join the upcoming Baywatch project. The social media star explained that both she and Skenes understood the demands of their respective careers and encouraged each other to succeed.
“Paul has been nothing but supportive of this,” Dunne said. “He has his jobs and I have my jobs so we both want to execute at our best ability no matter what it is.”
The former LSU gymnast admitted she initially had no idea what to expect from the acting opportunity. Dunne revealed that even her family and Skenes felt unsure about the experience in the beginning. However, she quickly adjusted to the environment and credited her castmates for helping her grow throughout filming.
Despite entering unfamiliar territory, Dunne explained that acting did not make her overly nervous. She noted that years of gymnastics training helped her trust herself in high-pressure situations. While comparing both professions, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star admitted gymnastics remained far more physically demanding, though acting came with its own challenges.
Dunne also spoke warmly about the friendships she built on set. She said she learned the most from working alongside women like Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, and Hassie Harrison. According to Dunne, observing their professionalism and work ethic every day became one of the most rewarding parts of the project.
Nader echoed similar feelings during the interview and described the experience as one of the happiest and most fulfilling chapters of her life. Although Baywatch is not expected to premiere until next year, Dunne’s comments already gave fans a glimpse into the close bond shared among the cast.
