In news that might well elicit a smug smirk from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Amanda Frances, the NBC show that Bozoma Saint John hosted with Jimmy Fallon has been canceled. On Brand ran for just one season, but reportedly did not land enough ratings to score a renewal.

If you’re one of the many who, clearly, didn’t tune in to watch Jimmy and Bozoma’s business slash reality TV show, here’s what you need to know. On Brand was an unscripted series, created, hosted, and produced by Jimmy. It followed The Late Show host as he set up his very own marketing agency, enlisting “the most creative, clever, and competitive go-getters,” per the logline.
And helping Jimmy do just that was businesswoman and former Netflix marketing chief, Bozoma. She mentored the contestants who, each week, worked with major brands in need of marketing concepts. Well-known companies, including Captain Morgan, Dunkin’, Pillsbury, and Samsung, were featured on the show.
Ultimately, contestant Bianca Fernandez took home the prize. The former pre-law student and digital marketer walked away with $100,000 in cash. On top of that, she also received a feature in Adweek, a trip to the Cannes Lions advertising trade show, and the title of Innovator of the Year. Not bad, hey!?
But, while Bianca won big, the show seemingly did not. Per Deadline, it has not been renewed for a second season, with poor ratings the likely reason.
Previously speaking about her role on the show, RHOBH star Bozoma told TV Insider it was “gratifying.”
“Much of this mimics my real-life experiences over my career,” she explained.
