The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys patriarch is currently serving a two-year prison sentence for crop insurance fraud. According to Cole McBee’s fiancée Kacie Adkison, her future father-in-law is doing well.
On May 12, Kacie took to her Instagram Stories to answer questions from her followers. When someone asked about how Steven McBee Sr. is getting along in prison, Kacie seemed happy to respond.
How is Steven McBee Sr. doing in prison?
“Lots of questions about Steve!” she wrote. “He’s doing as good as he can be during his time away! We are going to see him this weekend! I will let him know so many people are checking on him!”
In addition, Kacie shared that she and Cole were able to tell Steve Sr. about her pregnancy with baby number two. When they last visited at this South Dakota prison, their daughter Blair wore her “big sister sweater … to see him.”
When The McBee Dynasty returns on June 15, viewers will learn more about Steve’s sentencing and its impact on his family. In fact, the Season 3 trailer kicks off with coverage of Steven’s sentencing. “I don’t know about you guys, but I want my kids to grow up here,” he says in voiceover. “I want to be here ’til the day I die, and I want to be here ’til the day they die.”
During a panel at BravoCon 2025, Steven McBee Jr. talked about how his dad was faring under incarceration. “My dad is the most optimistic person we’ve ever met in our lives,” Steve Jr. said. “The man was built to handle stressful situations. If anything, we’re more stressed out than he is.”
“We’re just here to love and support him through this time,” he added. “As a family, we’ll get through anything together.”
