The speculation reportedly began after Tom Cruise watched Anderson’s performance in The Last Showgirl, the movie many fans consider her major Hollywood comeback. One insider claimed Cruise saw Anderson in “a very different light” after the film and that the two stars have stayed in contact since then.
According to the National Enquirer, there was “definitely a spark” between them, and it added that people close to Cruise had noticed the chemistry as well. Neither actor has publicly addressed the rumors, and representatives for both stars did not respond to requests for comment.
