Donald Trump has a positive reaction to Marco Rubio’s outfit
President Donald Trump did not hold back his admiration for Secretary of State Marco Rubio after the top Trump official sported the viral Nike tracksuit.
When aboard Air Force One, Trump was asked whether he had seen the secretary in the briefing room and what he thought. The President understood what the topic was immediately and responded, “You talking about his outfit?”
The 79-year-old went on to remark, “I thought he looked very good in the outfit. Listen, I don’t know if I’d do it, but I thought he looked very good.”
Rubio’s tracksuit was identical to the one worn by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro when he was captured and transported to the U.S. Rubio sported this when traveling with President Donald Trump. Rubio boarded Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews in a suit and soon changed into the viral tracksuit.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung posted a photo of Rubio in the tracksuit. He captioned the photo, “Secretary Rubio rocking the Nike Tech ‘Venezuela’ on Air Force One!”
Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom trolled the outfit by referencing Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s plea last year. There, he urged passengers not to dress up “like they’re going to bed.”
However, President Donald Trump seemed to like Rubio’s outfit and did not hold back on his appreciation for the same.
Marco Rubio, alongside Vice President JD Vance, is the frontrunner as a potential contender for the 2028 presidential run.
