Elsie Hewitt is officially in hiring mode following her breakup with Pete Davidson. The model took to social media this week looking for what she described as a “right hand person” to help care for the former couple’s baby daughter, Scottie Rose.
The post arrived only days after news broke that Hewitt and Davidson had quietly split less than a year after welcoming their first child together.

On Saturday, Hewitt shared an Instagram Stories post explaining she was searching for an assistant, nanny, or “mother’s helper” to help manage life with 5-month-old Scottie Rose. “I’m currently trying to find an assistant / mother’s helper / nanny type / basically right hand person,” she wrote while asking applicants to send resumes.
Over the weekend, the model also posted a TikTok responding to criticism surrounding paparazzi photos of her appearance. In the clip, Hewitt admitted life lately has been overwhelming.
“I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money,” she said. “And I’m doing it on my own, which is hard.” That comment quickly fueled speculation online about Davidson’s involvement as a parent. However, sources close to the comedian pushed back almost immediately.
According to PEOPLE, insiders insisted Davidson remains financially supportive and actively involved behind the scenes. One source claimed he is covering all expenses tied to Scottie Rose and has “made himself extremely available.”
The insider also noted that both Hewitt and Davidson are currently involved in the search for childcare and are reportedly using a professional vetting process to find the right nanny.
News of the split surfaced earlier this month. Sources told PEOPLE the relationship had already become strained during Hewitt’s pregnancy because things between the pair moved “very quickly.”
“They didn’t know each other very well,” one insider claimed while discussing the breakup. Still, both reportedly remain focused on figuring out healthy co-parenting moving forward.
Hewitt and Davidson first sparked dating rumors in March 2025 before announcing the pregnancy just a few months later. Their daughter, Scottie Rose, was born in December 2025.
