The black-and-white graphic circulating online paired Musk’s image with his quote about destroying the “woke mind virus.” The post rapidly gained traction on the platform, generating significant engagement. Musk has also contended that activists, institutions, and segments of the medical and academic fields promote gender ideology via coordinated cultural messaging.
Supporters commended Musk for his directness, while critics called the language inflammatory. Many interpreted his comments as an allusion to ongoing disagreements over gender transition ideology.
