Vice President JD Vance got mocked after urging voters to oppose the “crazy leadership in Washington, D.C.” It happened during a speech promoting the Donald Trump administration’s agenda. Needless to say, the comment got trolled by the Democrats.
JD Vance trolled after making bizarre remark
Speaking at a Missouri manufacturing plant, JD Vance was promoting Donald Trump’s economic vision and rallying support ahead of the midterm elections when the slipup happened. He told the crowd he did not expect them to agree on every issue, but urged them to consider what mattered most.
“What I will ask you is if you want to make America great, if you want to protect your jobs and hopefully build jobs in this beautiful factory, if you want to make our streets even safer, if you want to rebuild the American dream for the next generation, vote against the crazy leadership in Washington, D.C.,” he said.
The crowd applauded before Vance paused. He then tried to reframe the remark. “Vote against the congressional leadership that will stand up and say ‘we care more about illegal aliens than we do American citizens,’ and vote for the leaders in Congress who have promised they are going to fight for you,” he added.
But the moment had already been recorded. Soon, Democrats clipped it and posted it on X with a photograph of Donald Trump flanked by Republican lawmakers at the White House. Along with the caption, “The crazy leadership in Washington, DC.” Other people also joined in on trolling as one user wrote, “For once, I’m in total agreement with Vance. Vote against the crazy leadership in Washington, D.C.!”
Another said, “Einstein not realizing his party controls the White House, the senate, and the house.” A third added, “For someone who wrote a book, he definitely doesn’t understand the term “irony.'” Another summed it up, “So we vote against every single one of you? If you are not crazy you are complacent and that is just as bad.”
JD Vance hasn’t yet commented on the trolling or the remark.
