Notably, Elordi pulled out of jury duty at Cannes, reportedly citing a foot injury that allegedly prevented him from traveling. However, days later, photographs of himself on an intimate trip with Jenner appeared. This, as per Rob Shuter’s Substack report, is not a good image for the “Euphoria” star.
One insider told Rob Shuter, “People around Jacob are nervous. The issue isn’t the vacation itself — it’s becoming too closely tied to the Kardashian-Jenner world.”
Industry insiders have drawn parallels with Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s relationship and see this as a warning season. Industry insiders believe that during last year’s award season, there was much more focus on Timothée and Kylie’s relationship than on his work. Timothee reportedly lost the coveted Oscar because of his current relationship, and the Elordi-Jenner romance is headed down that path as well.
A source explained, “Studios hate distractions. There are still people who think Timothee’s campaign lost momentum because the conversation became more about celebrity culture than acting.”
