Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s UK Return Tied to Visa Issues — Source

Sources have claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported return to the UK could be linked to ongoing concerns surrounding Harry’s U.S. visa. Multiple outlets have reported that the Sussexes may return to Britain by the end of the month for an extended stay.

While their move has reportedly been framed as an opportunity for Harry to reconnect with his family, insiders now claim that his ongoing visa troubles may have also influenced the decision.

Sources claim Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK return linked to US Visa issues

Sources cited by Rob Shuter have claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported move back to the UK could be driven in part by the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing U.S. visa concerns.

The controversy stems from Harry’s past public admissions about substance use in his 2023 memoir, “Spare,” which have prompted questions over whether his immigration paperwork accurately reflected his history and could affect his long-term prospects of remaining in the United States.

According to Shuter, the situation is largely beyond Harry’s control, prompting the Duke to consider Britain as a more secure long-term option. A source told the outlet: “The visa issue has become a cloud Harry simply cannot control. As long as people are fighting to see those records, there’s uncertainty. Establishing a life in Britain gives him something America currently doesn’t—certainty.”

According to Shuter, the heart of the controversy is whether Harry was completely truthful about his past substance use when completing his U.S. immigration paperwork. The questions have largely centered on how his public comments compare with what he disclosed to U.S. authorities. Harry’s representatives have maintained that he was truthful, and there has been no public finding that he acted dishonestly. Nevertheless, the issue continues to attract attention.

The controversy intensified after conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation sought access to Harry’s visa records. According to a Newsweek report, the organization wanted to determine whether Harry had been truthful in his immigration application and whether he received any special treatment.

Shuter’s sources also stressed that Harry’s reported desire to reconnect with his family and Meghan’s career ambitions remain factors in the Sussexes’ potential return to Britain. However, they claimed that the uncertainty surrounding Harry’s U.S. visa situation has added another layer of motivation.

A source stated: “Harry isn’t necessarily running from America. He’s making sure America can never leave him without options. Britain is his insurance policy.”
