The Real Housewives of Orange County star is swinging right for the LA mayoral race, revealing that she thinks it’s time for a new “regime.” She believes the villain from a 2000s reality show is the right person for the job.
The Bravo reality star thinks Spencer Pratt “has something to say”
Although Vicki Gunvalson previously criticized Heather for being too “liberal” for RHOC, she just took a hard pivot to the right with her recent support of Spencer’s mayoral campaign. She and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, ranted and raved about him during the May 13 episode of their Between Us podcast.
The Botched doctor kicked off the conversation by praising Spencer’s AI-powered advertisements. Heather said she sees him watching them in bed in the middle of the night.
“It’s kind of the most brilliant thing I’ve ever seen ever,” Terry gushed.
Terry admitted that he felt initially skeptical of Spencer’s brash campaign. The former reality star threatened to jail homeless people and pledged his support for ICE. However, after watching a few of those AI-powered ads, Spencer won over both Terry and Heather’s support.
“Everything he says makes sense,” Terry claimed, to which Heather added, “We definitely need a new regime here.”
Heather continued, “I think when you have someone that is so invested in his city and this community and understands. Maybe someone at the helm who actually cares about the fact that this is the best city ever, and it’s ruined.”
Ironically, Spencer recently revealed that if he loses the mayoral election, he’ll leave Los Angeles altogether. Either way, Heather and Terry made it very clear where they stand on his campaign.
Heather said, “I think he has something to say, and I think all I hope. And I think this is true from
things I hear about him and from him, is that he’s smart enough to know what he doesn’t know and will surround himself with those people that are smart enough to actually know those things.”
While Heather and Terry both said they would vote for Spencer, it’s unclear whether they’ll actually get the chance. They split their time between Beverly Hills and Orange County, so they may not hold voter registration in Los Angeles. If they do, Spencer can count on two more votes.
