Kylie Kelce shares how parents reacted to her expecting 1st baby with Jason Kelce
During the latest episode of Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie,” she looked back at the time when she was expecting her first baby with her husband, Jason Kelce. She also went on to share how her parents reacted to this announcement. While explaining the same in detail, Kelce said, “My mom found out the first time we were pregnant pretty early on because I was struggling, I was really struggling.”
However, that’s not all, Kelce further added, “When we told my dad, I asked him by saying, ‘Are you ready to be a Skeeter?’ Which, for those of you who don’t know, my dad’s grandfather’s name is ‘Skeeter.’ That was decided when my sister and I were probably 10 and 12. We were reading books from a bookshelf in our house. One of them was a baby name book, and at the back of the book, it included grandparent names, which sent us down a spiral, and we determined at that age that we are going to call my dad ‘Skeeter’ when we have kids because it’s a slow burn.”
Beyond this, Kelce laughed as she exclaimed, “It’s a slow burn that a 6’9 man has to introduce himself as ‘Skeeter’ and gets called it in public. So, we asked him, ‘Are you ready to be a Skeeter?’ And he has big feelings about it. He was very excited. So, yeah. That’s how we told him.” As the couple continues sharing snippets of their parenting journey with fans, moments like these continue to resonate for their warmth, honesty, and relatable family dynamic.
