How Summer House Stars Are Cashing in on West Wilson and Amanda Batula Scandal

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right? Well, that’s certainly what the cast of Summer House is doing. In the wake of the dating scandal involving West Wilson and Amanda Batula, stars including Ciara Miller and Kyle Cooke have cashed in … and rightfully so.

In case you missed it (pretty impossible if you’re a Bravo fan), West and Amanda shocked everyone in February by revealing that they are in a relationship. The romance devastated their respective exes, Ciara and Kyle, as well as their friends on the hit show.

Nonetheless, some of the Summer House cast have been able to make some major money off the scandal.

Since West and Amanda’s relationship came to light, Ciara, in particular, has achieved major success. She has landed a spot on the next season of Dancing with the Stars, been on the cover of GLAMOUR, and secured a co-hosting role on Love Island Aftersun. Ciara has also scored deals with big-name brands, like Sonic, Sephora, and L’Oreal.

As for Kyle, he’s seen a boost in sales for his drinks brand, Loverboy. The uptick in business has been welcomed by the CEO and DJ. He spent much of Season 10 worrying over money. Although Loverboy was at one point “on the brink of financial disaster,” the company is now going strong. “The support from our fan base saved Loverboy,” he recently said on the Trading Secrets podcast.

Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard have also made some money of late. Within hours of Kyle’s now-infamous “Carl’s a mess” confession, the duo were booked by Uber Eats. “[Bravo fans] happen to be some of the most engaged people on social,” said Lexi Levin Mitchel, head of social media at Uber in the US and Canada.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Lexi explained the brand wanted to jump on the meme “just before it was going to peak.” And that tactic worked. “This was actually our most engaged, most shared piece of content ever.” Who’s a mess now then?
