Meghan Markle branded as ‘not a crowd-pleaser’ after seemingly failing to draw crowds in Geneva
Meghan Markle delivered a speech during the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. However, she could not gather as much of a crowd as expected. Markle opened the Lost Screen Memorial at the Place des Nations. She was joined by representatives from the World Health Organization and Archewell Philanthropies.
During the high-profile event, 50 illuminated panels were placed on display. They featured lock-screen photos in remembrance of children lost to the dangers of digital harm. Markle is known for regularly speaking about the online dangers children face, often describing it as a “public health issue.”
She delivered a speech on the same issue in Geneva. However, the crowd reportedly was not as large as expected. An insider told Radar Online that many people anticipated a huge turnout, given that Markle is one of the most internationally recognized women in the world. However, since that did not happen, critics mocked the situation, claiming that she is not a “crowd-pleaser.”
The source said, “Critics immediately seized on the images circulating online showing only a relatively small group gathered nearby and used it as evidence that Meghan struggles to generate genuine public enthusiasm outside carefully managed appearances.”
They continued, “Fairly or unfairly, some commentators were openly questioning whether she still has the same pulling power she once did, and joking that she is literally not a crowd-pleaser.”
