Meghan Markle Branded a ‘Jam Addict’ Amid Prince William’s Scone Take

Meghan Markle has landed in troubled waters again as journalists labelled her a “jam addict.” Her lifestyle brand “As Ever” shared a video on Instagram on May 25 in which she talked about how each member of her family takes their “jam,” days after Prince Williams revealed his own take on scones.

Journalist labels Meghan Markle a ‘jam addict’ in new interview

In her new Instagram video, Meghan Markle revealed that her husband, Prince Harry, loved the raspberry jam, and her daughter, Princess Lilibet, preferred the strawberry one. She further said that their son, Prince Archie, loved both, while she personally liked the orange one.

While interviewing Royal Biographer, Angela Levin, journalist Ian Collins called the Duchess of Sussex a “jam addict.” He said, “I mean, of all things to become kind of, she sounds like a jam addict to be honest. I don’t know whether there’s a sort of jam anonymous place in California. I’m sure there is.” He continued to ask Levin why Markle was suddenly in love with jam.

Levin replied, “Well, when she liked taking jam long ago, and she thought she could really be very, very successful about it. She thought she’d earn masses of money because everybody eats jam. She gets it wrong.”

This comes days after Markle’s brother-in-law, Prince William, shared his on how to have scones on Heart Breakfast (via Mirror.co.uk). He was presented with scones, cream, and a jar of jam. The intention was to have him settle the age-old debate over whether the cream should be spread on the scone first or the jam.

When Prince William’s opinion was asked, he replied, “I love that I’m the authority on scones. I can only tell you what I learned from my grandmother. And she would definitely, she had the cream on first. Cream on first, jam on top.” A few days later, Markle’s brand “As Ever” also shared a Memorial Day carousel featuring scones layered first with cream and then topped with jam.
