Rumors are circulating that Summer House stars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s wedding was not real. He recently addressed this with a fan on social media.
The couple televised their September 25, 2021 wedding, which was held in Amanda’s parents’ backyard, on the show. Kyle and Amanda announced their separation in January.
The Summer House star finally addressed the viral wedding speculation
Kyle responded to a now-deleted fan post on Threads May 25 about whether the two were really married, according to People. “You got me,” he wrote. “The only actor with a MBA, a SBA loan, 2 businesses, and an acquired set of skills that lets me recall my scripted lines from memory when drunk, even blackout. I’m a jack of all trades which is exactly why I’m capable of pulling off such trickery.”
He then posted a photo of himself and his bride at New Jersey’s Hillsborough Town Hall. In it, The Loverboy founder is apparently signing a marriage document. “Oh wait here’s a pic of us at Hillsborough town hall,” he wrote. “Respectfully, please take off your tinfoil hat.”
Also, Summer House co-stars such as Lindsay Hubbard, Danielle Olivera, Luke Gulbranson and Ciara Miller attended the wedding.
On January 19, Kyle and Amanda posted a joint Instagram Story announcing their separation. “After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they wrote. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”
They added, “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”
The former couple addressed their separation on the premiere episode of In The City, Summer House’s spinoff, on May 19. This was filmed on April 9, right after Amanda and Summer House co-star West Wilson went public with their bombshell relationship.
