During an interview last week, Kelly Dodd’s brother Eric Meza lashed out at his sister and her husband Rick Leventhal.
While hinting at legal action against her, Eric offered an update on The Real Housewives of Orange County alum’s ex-husband Michael Dodd. In addition to predicting that Kelly’s current marriage wouldn’t last, Eric revealed that Child Protective Services (CPS) nearly removed her daughter Jolie Dodd from her care years ago.
According to Eric, CPS almost took her daughter away after Kelly forced Jolie to lie on an evaluation of her fitness as a parent. “This is all documented,” Eric alleged on the May 29 Sarah from Texas podcast. “She would threaten Jolie … So Jolie had to lie, because Jolie was scared. She’s a little girl. She didn’t want to get in trouble.” At the time, Jolie was about eight or nine.

“When you lose your daughter, you’re a loser. Period,” Eric said. “Her daughter doesn’t want to have anything to do with her whatsoever. Neither do I, neither does her mother.” As for her part, Jolie is now 19 and independent.
Even though he was unable to share any details, Eric added that there were ““a lot of legal things happening towards [Kelly].”
After calling his sister “evil,” Eric encouraged her to, “Focus on your mother. Focus on your daughter … She needs to go to confession … Like, she’s a really, really bad, bad human being. I mean, she’s the lowest of the low.”
As for Kelly’s ex-husband Michael, Eric called his and Jolie’s relationship “perfect.” He continued, “[Micheal’s] a great father, and she loves her dad. He’s done a lot for her.”
Furthermore, Eric doesn’t believe Kelly and Rick, who married in 2020, will last. “Once something happens to Rick or he gets fired … she’ll try to find a billionaire,” he revealed. “She will … put herself out there to find a rich guy to support her, because that’s her M.O.”
Kelly was a cast member on RHOC during Seasons 11 through 15.
