Ex-Reality TV Villain Spencer Pratt Currently Ranks Second Behind Karen Bass in Los Angeles Mayor Race

Reality TV star Spencer Pratt is in a solid second place with 30.4 percent support, while City Councilwoman Nithya Raman holds 22.3 percent in the Los Angeles mayor’s race. Incumbent Mayor Karen Bass is leading the chart with 34.8 percent of the vote, securing her a place in the general election on November 3. Bass is a former member of Congress and the first Black woman to serve as mayor.

Currently Spencer Pratt is holding strong in second place behind Karen Bass in the race for LA mayor

According to TMZ, it appears that Mayor Bass, who has served as the 43rd mayor of Los Angeles since 2022, is set to face the 42-year-old Pratt, best known as the star of The Hills, in the upcoming election. The exact number of ballots still to be counted across Los Angeles County remains unclear.

Pratt, who announced his candidacy in January 2026, said he has five months to make his case to voters. The former reality-TV-star-turned-politician told Fox 11, “This is the first time since 2005 that an incumbent is going to a runoff. This is not a candidate that I’m too concerned about. I’m ready for whatever God puts in front of me.”

“I got in this because as a citizen, I felt like my city failed — myself, my neighbors, my family. Mayor Bass has allowed the city to be covered in potholes. We don’t have sidewalks. We don’t have lights,” Pratt added, as per KCRA 3.

His opponents, including Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, have called him a MAGA Republican in campaign ads, according to OK! Magazine. However, President Donald Trump also backed him during a recent press conference at the White House on May 20. He said, “I’d like to see him do well. He’s a character.”
