Meghan McCain has blasted Jimmy Kimmel for his remarks regarding Spencer Pratt‘s loss in his run for mayor of Los Angeles after City Council member Nithya Raman advanced to face incumbent Karen Bass. The 41-year-old daughter of late Senator John McCain said Jimmy Kimmel’s exit from television would make “a better day for the country.”
Meghan McCain says Jimmy Kimmel is “mean” and “heartless” after mocking Spencer Pratt
The clash began after Jimmy Kimmel discussed the former reality-TV star–turned-politician’s campaign on Tuesday night’s show. The ABC host mocked The Hills actor for promising to leave Los Angeles if either Karen Bass or Nithya Raman became mayor.
Kimmel said Pratt, who announced his candidacy in January 2026, clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he would move out of L.A. “He is done with L.A. and Spencer; if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go. We’re going to miss the hell out of you. You’re a man of your word, and you gotta go.”
The host said, “I know things might be tight right now, especially with the out-of-state donation money running out. Moving is expensive, so to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul.” Adding, “Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you, and everybody will notice you and wave goodbye as you leave.”
Reacting to his remarks, Meghan took to X on June 10 and bashed the host, writing, “Jimmy Kimmel is a mean, heartless b*****d and no amount of on-air crying will convince me or anyone else otherwise. The day he is off air will be a better day for the country.”
However, Meghan’s remarks didn’t sit well with many netizens. Some accused her of hypocrisy and challenged her position. A user commented, “What a hypocrite you are. So a COMEDIAN makes jokes on his TV show about a useless hack, but YOU don’t have a problem with the hateful vitriol that spews out of a PRESIDENT every single day? Thank God your father isn’t alive to witness your abhorrent behavior.”
While another user pointed out that Meghan was upset because Kimmel “states facts” and highlights hypocrisy in the Republican Party, calling her a “snowflake” and accusing her of never criticizing Donald Trump, whom the individual described as “the meanest, heartless bastard that ever lived.”
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE REMARKS ?
