Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp has bravely shared her cancer journey. In 2022, the podcaster was diagnosed with melanoma. However, in 2025, doctors discovered that the cancer, now stage IV, had spread to her lungs and brain. She underwent brain surgeries, immunotherapy, and radiation.
The former RHOBH star opens up about her fears as she awaits another major health milestone
Meanwhile, Teddi credited her father, singer John Mellencamp, with helping to save her life during her cancer battle. “He stepped up, took control, fought for me,” Teddi previously stated, “and pretty much changed my life, saved my life.”
Recently, Teddi shared how her journey affected both her body and her mental health. In March 2026, she shared, “You know, I kind of ride the wave.” However, Teddi has also shared some vulnerable moments, as she did recently via her Instagram Stories.
In the first video, Teddi explained, “So ever since I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, I get immunotherapy monthly, and I was getting cat scans and MRIs monthly, but this month, this past time, they decided they’re going to wait three to four months in between the tests.” She added, “This has created such a nervous, raging anxiety inside of me.”
The former RHOBH star added that she was so anxious that she had been “having panic attacks” and “sweating through” her clothing. Meanwhile, in a second video, an emotional Teddi admitted that she has been “crying” a great deal. “I just want to be positive,” Teddi stated. “I want to be like those people that just say they’re positive all the time, but I’m really scared.”
Finally, in the last video, Teddi admitted that she felt “really lonely” while navigating her complicated cancer journey. As you may recall, Teddi is in the process of divorcing Edwin Arroyave, and the former couple shares three children.
