Donald Trump Weighs In on LA Mayoral Race After Spencer Pratt’s Defeat: ‘Rigged Elections’

President Donald Trump took to Truth Social after reality TV star-turned Republican mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt fell to third place in Los Angeles.

Spencer Pratt shocked political observers by surging into second place in the initial vote count, but later City Councilmember Nithya Raman overtook him by roughly 3,000 votes in the race for a runoff spot against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

Trump rants on Truth Social about how the LA Mayor race must be “rigged” due to Spencer Pratt’s failure

Trump reacted to the unexpected result on Truth Social, saying, “Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoff after the lead he had. 3rd World Nation. Rigged elections! Now they’ll be working on great guy Steve Hilton. Won’t have results for possibly TWO weeks, according to officials. President DJT.”

Trump claimed the election was crooked and suggested that it was being manipulated without providing any evidence of fraud. Under Los Angeles election rules, the runoff is now between incumbent mayor Karen Bass and Nithya Raman, with Pratt kicked out of the race.

Trump’s comments came at the back of Republican candidates Spencer Pratt and Steve Hilton both suffering setbacks after making a promising start, as additional California ballots continued to be counted.

Earlier, Jimmy Kimmel of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” mocked Pratt’s election campaign. The late-night host started by admitting that the Republican candidate, Spencer Pratt, may seem to say the right things, but “Voting for Spencer Pratt is like putting a rattlesnake in a canoe that’s already sinking.”

Pratt ran a populist campaign centered on government accountability, wildfire recovery, public safety, and criticism of Los Angeles’ political establishment. He positioned himself as an anti-establishment outsider and gained traction by constantly criticizing city officials over wildfire preparedness, homelessness, and public spending.
