When it comes to Love Island USA, you honestly never know what’s coming next. In the latest episode, for example, contestants were handcuffed to a giant bed in a challenge that has been described by one viewer as “psychotic.”

On the June 8 episode of Love Island USA, a giant bed appeared in the villa … but no one would be sleeping in it.
Instead, the boys were handcuffed to the bed’s headboard, while the girls were blindfolded at the side. One by one, the girls were then tasked with identifying their partner simply by feeling around for them.
As well as using colored paint to mark their territory as they got up close and personal with the guys, the girls were told to handcuff themselves to the person they thought was their partner. Sounds pretty wild, right? Well, viewers certainly thought so.
On X, formerly Twitter, one Love Island USA viewer branded the show “psychotic,” while others likened it to porn. “It literally just looks like porn. There is no fine line anymore,” said @renaebaehoney. “Look[s] like a porn scene,” agreed @noimnotvictoria.
“I love this show, but I literally skipped through that whole scene because it was basically a massive orgy,” echoed @z0mbi3culture.
“I’m uncomfortable,” said @Rosedquart, while @Insideyou247 posted: “Every time I see a pic of this show, it looks like the sex Hunger Games.”
Not everyone felt the same way, however. “My fav challenge I’ve seen in a few years tbh,” shared @kalynesfuneral.
Viewers weren’t the only ones shocked by the challenge. It ended with some major surprises for the contestants, too. Three new bombshells entered the villa during the challenge and made no secret of their intention to shake things up.
