Jennifer Lopez recently sat down with Brett Goldstein for a candid podcast conversation while promoting their upcoming romantic comedy, Office Romance. During the interview, the actress and singer reflected on some movies that have had the biggest impact on her life and career.
Goldstein specifically asked Lopez to choose a film in what he calls the “troubling boner” category of his questions. Specifically asking, “A film you found arousing that you weren’t sure you should.”
Jennifer Lopez says she “would have had sex” with any True Romance cast member
Lopez chose the 1993 crime romance “True Romance” as an answer to Goldstein’s question on his Films to Be Buried With podcast on the June 10 episode. The 56-year-old actress said that she finds the cast of the crime thriller “so incredibly f—ing good,” and that she would have “sex with any one of them.” Further, she also added, “That is the truth. Which says a lot about me, but maybe like the dark side of me.”
Lopez ran down the list of characters: Christian Slater, a record store worker who “has hallucinations of Elvis,” played by Val Kilmer. Next up was Patricia Arquette, who was perfectly cast as “the hooker with the heart of gold, the sweetest.” She also talked about “James Gandolfini as a hitman” and “Brad Pitt as a stoner.”
According to Lopez, the sexiness of the cast can be felt even in Oldman’s pump Drexl Spivey, characterized by “the gold teeth” and “the dreams”. Lopez goes on to draw Arquette deeply into the “sexy” fold and adds that “you still wanna kinda kiss her on the lips” even after the character was beaten up and bruised, adding, “It’s crazy, that movie.”
Lopez’s pick, Tarantino-written “True Romance,” has become somewhat of a cult due to its intoxicating mix of crime, romance, and dark humour, and also features one of the most star-studded casts of the decade.
