While Joe Rogan did not address the transphobic remarks made by UFC heavyweight Josh Hokit during an interview, his unusual tie at the event has caught the attention. The 58-year-old podcaster and longtime UFC commentator wore a suit at the White House South Lawn fight event, but notably without a tie that reached his belt line.
Joe Rogan’s “insanely small” tie was the focus of much conversation at the White House UFC event
It is noteworthy that Rogan is not particularly a fan of ties because he believes they are a massive vulnerability in physical altercations. In a clip, Rogan was caught talking about the event, which aired on Paramount+. He said, as per RadarOnline, “It’s such a scene. It’s so surreal. It’s so amazing,” Rogan said during the event, which was broadcast on Paramount+. “The energy is in the air. We’re outside. We thought it might be called off for rain, but we’re good. The whole thing is nuts.”
However, many couldn’t help but notice the length of his “insanely small” tie. Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, jokingly wrote on X, “Is this the 1st time Rogan has ever worn a tie?” Another commented, “Love Joe Rogan, but someone should really teach him to tie a tie lol. It looks like when you see an 8-year-old tie their tie.” While one of the many requests said, “Someone please buy Joe Rogan a better fitting tie.”
As per MMA Junkie, Rogan was impressed by how the event unfolded, with all seven fights ending in TKO or KO. He said, “This is the greatest night in the history of combat sports, and the greatest night in the history of MMA by far. There’s nothing that’s ever going to top this until something does.”
The event, which was attended by thousands of people, was also attended by senior federal officials, media figures, and lawmakers, including FCC Chair Brendan Carr, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, reports The Hill.
