The Bravo star is moving on from her failed marriage to Jesse Lally
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Michelle (who is 37) confirmed she is dating rapper and music executive Dre, who is 61. “We’re spending time together, and we love being in each other’s company,” she said.
Despite only being spotted together for the first time in April, the duo have known each other for a while. As for how they met? Michelle credits a mutual friend for connecting them.
Elsewhere in her chat with PEOPLE, Michelle was asked what her ex-husband, Jesse Lally, thinks of her new boyfriend. “For now, we’re just keeping everything super private,” she replied, suggesting that Jesse is not in the loop when it comes to her and Dre’s love. “I’m just living my life.”
For his part, Jesse previously told TMZ he wasn’t given a heads-up that Michelle and Dre were dating. The Valley star told the outlet that he saw the now-viral images “on social media the same way as everyone else.”
Seemingly, Michelle isn’t fussed about what Jesse thinks, however. She told PEOPLE she has no regrets over their divorce, which fans saw play out on The Valley.
“I think in the beginning you get so scared, ‘Did I make the right choice and is this best for myself and my child?'” she said. “But now looking back, I feel like everything I did was the best decision for myself and for my daughter.”
“I have no regrets on that part,” Michelle went on. “I’m truly happy with where life is taking me.”
