Big Brother fans may finally get to see a long-awaited twist. CBS remains tight-lipped about exactly what they have in store for Season 28. A new leak, however, has seemingly uncovered what we could see, as “Time Trip” takes over BB28.
The new season promises to be bigger than we’ve ever seen before, and if the rumors are true, a unique theme is coming. Whatever it is, fans can expect something big to celebrate a huge milestone for the show, which will occur in this upcoming season.
BB28 will allegedly have a “Time Trip” twist bringing back former players
The Big Brother 28 “Time Trip” twist will see housemates “compete across different eras, face returning legends, and navigate game-changing twists that rewrite the rules.”
We saw one returnee on Season 27, and we could see plenty more in the upcoming season of Big Brother. Many fans were outraged by Rachel Reilly’s exit from the show last season as she failed to complete the White Locust challenge. It sounds like fans are pleased by the rumored “Time Trip” theme supposedly revealed on the Paramount+ Chinese site. That is said to be the central idea of this upcoming season. The speculation is that former houseguests from different eras of the show will take part, navigating “game-changing twists that rewrite the rules.”
Rachel’s sister Elissa has been linked to a return. She competed in Season 15, arguably the most controversial in the show’s history. That season drew backlash for the racial jokes made by the likes of Aaryn Gries among others, now known as Aaryn Williams.
The alleged theme also suggests we will see twists from all the past seasons of the show. It should be noted that CBS has not yet confirmed any of this.
What we do know is that during Season 28, the show will reach the 1000-episode mark. Last month, it was confirmed that the new season will begin with a 90-minute premiere on July 9. The first promo dropped at that time, and the rumor mill has been buzzing ever since. The show airs on Wednesdays following an hour-long Thursday show with the live eviction and one on Sunday.
