The breakup between Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll after nearly a decade of marriage has taken a surprising new twist. Bunnie’s ex-husband, Frankie Lombardo, feels “there’s a lot of unfinished business” between him and Bunnie, with whom his relationship ended in 2015.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Lombardo spoke openly about his jealousy over Bunnie’s past “sugar daddies” and said he felt deeply hurt when she left him for another man after four years together. He added that the relationship, which lasted from 2009 to 2015, “destroyed” him.
The 43-year-old music producer said, “Bunnie was the only girl who broke my heart. She left me for another man and… [it] f*****g destroyed my life in a sense. And she got with some dude [who she dated before Jelly Roll] who beat her up, which was a f*****g nightmare.”
Lombardo first met Bunnie Xo through MySpace in 2009. At the time, she was married to Christopher Gilbert, whom she later divorced that same year, while Lombardo was also in a relationship. She was working as a dancer at Olympic Gardens, a Las Vegas strip club now known as Peppermint Hippo.
After meeting for a drink, Bunnie Xo allegedly told him, “I want to make out with you,” and Lombardo reportedly moved in with her a week later. Though he denied any cheating but recalled serving Gilbert with divorce papers, calling the experience “really f–king weird.” He added, “He’s just a normal dude, kind of a weird dude. And they have a bit of a checkered past, I guess, but I was glad to serve the guy papers. I’ll never forget that.”
In February 2010, Bunnie married Lombardo in Maui, Hawaii, on Valentine’s Day. Talking about their marriage, he said, “It was good. I really loved her, and I think that we were definitely extremely close. We’re f*****g best friends… She was a good wife.” He was, however, “extremely jealous” of her sugar daddies.
Lombardo said his parents’ move into their home contributed to the breakup. They also pleaded guilty to a single count related to a conspiracy to violate the Wire Wager Act and were sentenced in 2010 to one year of probation. The couple officially filed for divorce in 2014.
Bunnie met Jelly Roll in 2015 and married him in August 2016, and began their fertility journey in 2019, with plans to expand their family, reports E! News. According to Today, Roll disclosed in October 2025 that he had cheated on his wife earlier in their relationship. He said, “I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair.” According to TMZ, Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, filed for divorce in Tennessee on May 18.
Talking about the current scenario to Page Six, Lombardo said, “We have an interesting friendship. Sometimes she still talks to me like she’s my wife and reprimands me.” He also stated, “I feel like there’s a lot of unfinished business between us, but I might be the only one who feels that way. I love her very much.”
