According to Page Six, the “Spare” author is preparing for his UK tour, with fans speculating about a possible reunion with Prince William. While no meeting has been confirmed, Meghan Markle’s presence could influence how the public views any potential reconciliation.
Royal commentator Amanda Matta explained that Meghan’s involvement could impact public perception of any reconciliation efforts. Amanda Matta says, “If Meghan accompanies Harry to the UK or to a meeting with his family, it would signal to the public that any effort at rebuilding relationships extends to the Sussex family as a whole.”
The “Off With Their Headlines” podcast co-host explained that Meghan Markle’s presence at the possible family meeting would not automatically influence the chances of reconciliation, as it could either help or complicate the situation. Matta said, “The challenge in reconciling has never really been about any one person; it has been rebuilding trust across the board.”
Although Matta said she has not received confirmation about Meghan’s potential meeting with King Charles, reports suggest she could join Harry during the UK visit.
She mentioned, “Historically, there have been indications that Charles made efforts to welcome her into the family, but she has taken a step back in recent years. I see that as an acknowledgement that the Sussexes’ ongoing tensions with the royals actually stem from Harry and his own family.”
Matta added that the biggest challenge could be “from how the palace manages this ‘return,” and manages expectations around reconciliation.
King Charles has reportedly offered accommodation and security arrangements for the couple during their UK visit. He also offered security arrangements for them. For now, the hopes of any reconciliation remain speculative; all eyes will be on Harry and Markle’s tour.
