The prince was photographed greeting Beatrice with a kiss on the cheek and sharing warm moments with both sisters. To many royal watchers, the exchange appeared to signal stronger family ties.
However, a new report by Closer Online claims Prince Harry and Meghan Markle see the situation very differently. According to a source, the Sussexes believe Beatrice and Eugenie are putting too much faith in William’s recent behavior. The insider alleged that Harry and Meghan think the sisters are “making a serious mistake” by trying to stay on the future king’s “good side.”
“They think they’re being foolish,” the source claimed. The insider added that Harry and Meghan do not believe the York sisters needed to distance themselves from William but allegedly feel “they could have been a little less effusive” during the public reunion.
What’s more, the source claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex believe William’s approach is only temporary. As the report states, they allegedly expect his attitude to change once he has more authority within the monarchy.
“[They] feel it’s obvious that William is being totally phony and just biding his time,” the source told the publication. The insider also claimed Harry and Meghan believe William has shown similar behavior before, pointing to his past interactions with ex-Prince Andrew before his royal roles were further reduced.
