The Valley star Nia Sanchez recently shared that her husband Danny Booko has been receiving death threats. Apparently, fans are unhappy with his recent behavior on the show.
Furthermore, some viewers are going so far as to suggest that Danny should take his own life. Wow. The man has a wife and four small children. That’s just not cool.
Even Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo has climbed aboard the bandwagon, calling the voiceover actor “a rat.”
Nia Sanchez says Danny Booko has received death threats
Speaking with US Weekly, Nia claimed they’ve “[seen] the comments” and “the DMs.”
“Honestly, it makes me wonder what’s wrong with people, because he’s gotten death threats,” she said. “People have told him, ‘You should just, like, … go in the back and take yourself out, so that your kids and wife can be happier.’”
“That is so heartbreaking to me that … people feel comfortable saying [that] to another human being,” his wife continued. While she says her husband is “so intentional with his headspace,” he can’t help but be affected by the hateful comments.
“While those [comments] really do affect him … he starts every day fresh,” she explained. “He takes care of his mental health [through] physically with working out, prayer and meditation. So he’s really intentional to be in a good head space for our family.”
Amid all the backlash, Danny tried to quell the tide of hate last month by issuing a public apology on his Instagram Stories. “Watching these last few episodes back hasn’t been easy,” he said. “It was a difficult season of life and a version of myself that I’m … not proud of. A short fuse, stress, alcohol and lack of sleep are never a good combination … [But] I should never have taken any of it out on [his wife].”
“Nia, I love you so much,” Danny concluded. “I’m grateful for you, our family, and this beautiful, chaotic life we’ve built together. I thank God for you every day.”
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
