“I said yes to something I usually say no to,” the “Believe” singer, 80, wrote on X. RadarOnline reports that the message, which is accompanied by a diamond emoji, can be interpreted as an engagement announcement with her 39-year-old boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards. “It was very sleek,” Cher added.
Cher has been married twice: to Sonny Bono from 1964 to 1975, and to Gregg Allman from 1975 to 1979. She has been engaged to her much-younger lover since November 2022.
A source told RadarOnline that Cher has had a pattern of piquing curiosity among her fans and followers. “Cher loves to keep people on their toes, so her teasing an engagement isn’t surprising,” the source said, adding, “Is she really engaged?
