A vintage car is said to have stolen part of the spotlight at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration. A report claims the vehicle was more than just a stylish display. It allegedly held a sentimental connection to a milestone in the couple’s relationship. As fresh details continue to emerge from the ceremony, the Chevrolet has become one of its most talked-about symbols.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly left her first Chiefs game in the same car
It seems Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce filled their wedding celebration with personal touches. Still, one detail has particularly stood out. A 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible was reportedly displayed at the reception, complete with a custom license plate reading “JST&T MRD.”
At first glance, it appeared to be another stylish addition to the venue. However, reports suggest the classic car carried a much deeper meaning. According to Page Six, Kelce owns the same model of Chevelle that he and Swift drove away in after her first Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023. That appearance marked the first time the couple publicly went on a date. Consequently, it was one of the defining moments of their relationship.
By reportedly bringing the car back for their wedding, Swift and Kelce appeared to pay homage to that milestone. While neither has explained the decision, fans quickly linked the vehicle to the moment their romance first became public.
The nostalgic callback blended seamlessly with the rest of the celebration, which was said to include several interactive surprises for guests. Per multiple outlets, attendees collected raffle tickets by taking part in games such as skee-ball, miniature golf, and a football ring toss. The prizes were apparently just as extravagant. Guests allegedly competed to win luxury handbags from Chanel and Dior, along with Cartier watches and golf bags.
Most notably, it is speculated that the evening also featured personalized keepsakes. Country singer Maren Morris later revealed she received an embroidered handkerchief displaying the wedding date and location. According to reports, it also included a customized version of a lyric from Swift’s 2014 hit “Blank Space,” reading, “So it’s going to be forever.”
