Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard Issues Stern Statement to Bravo Fans

She’s activated — again. Summer House OG Lindsay Hubbard just issued a PSA to Bravo fans, claiming that some folks are taking their fandom in a toxic direction.

If you follow Lindsay on Threads, then you know she has been in the comments for five months straight, shutting down Summer House rumors, responding to In The City chatter, and holding absolutely nothing back.

After a recent negative interaction with a fan account, Hubbs decided to issue a formal statement. And although Lindsay meant well, some fans think she needs to take a breather.

The Bravo star called out a portion of fans for “bullying”

“Consider this a formal PSA: If you are a Bravo fan account, and 90% of your posts and clips are to incite hate towards ANY @bravotv talent when their show(s) are airing, that is called CYBER BULLYING,” Lindsay began on Threads, following a shady exchange.

“It’s okay to have opinions, that’s the point of us putting our lives on TV: different journeys invite different perspectives from the audience,” she continued. “But when the majority of your clips and posts are directed towards one person in an extremely negative way, it reaches a point of obsession and bullying.”

Of course, Lindsay has been in the reality TV world for a decade and knows what she signed up for. The online chatter isn’t new. However, that doesn’t make it easier to navigate.

“We appreciate the Bravo fan accounts and Bravoholics who share their opinions, and create conversations, respectfully, however there is a line,” she continued. “This line has been increasingly crossed with me for years from this account and it’s unacceptable. We need to be better as humans towards each other.”

“We live in weird times, and the least we can do is enjoy Bravo with respect to the human beings that are opening up their lives. Thanks,” Lindsay concluded.

Weird times, indeed, Lindsay. Although she clearly meant well here, plenty of fans didn’t buy the message. They flooded the replies and urged Lindsay to take her own advice.

“People watching and not agreeing with you is NOT cyberbullying,” one fan replied. “By your own metric, were you not cyberbullying West when you’re acting like he is taking advantage of Amanda?”

Regardless of where you land on Lindsay specifically, the core of her PSA still holds. Reality stars are people, and while we’re absolutely going to talk about them, they deserve basic human decency, too.

Summer House is streaming on Peacock, and you can catch In The City on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
