Joy Behar shocked cohosts after making an unexpected joke about EP Brian Teta during a live episode of The View
During the last segment of The View, the panelists were interviewing Lindsay Hubbard and Kyle Cooke, and Behar tried asking the Summer House reality personalities about their sex life. She said, “During the [Summer House] reunion, viewers were shocked that you and Amanda had not been intimate for four years.”
Instantly, she added, “Kind of like Brian,” directly drawing attention to her boss. To which Cooke replied, “I don’t know Brian, but I’m sorry, Brian. Poor Brian.”
Sarah Haines, co-host, said, “That’s our boss”, when she noticed the Summer House star was not able to recognize the producer. Behar further added, “Brian is the butt of our jokes a lot, but he likes it, so anyway, pretty much for the entire length of the marriage, no sex for four years.”
The conversation initially was about the reality stars, but soon shifted towards Teta after Behar’s cheeky remark on him, catching both guests and hosts off guard.
Brian Teta serves as executive producer of The View. He frequently makes appearances on The View and other ABC shows. According to Entertainment Weekly, Teta and Behar engage in such conversations regularly, especially on Behind The Table Podcast.
Though Brian gave a surprised look and laughed it off, co-host Whoopi Goldberg was seen stunned for a brief moment. The lighthearted moment became the most-talked-about moment from the show, with the panel moving back to the interview shortly afterwards.
