Adele’s Next Big Move Leaves Singer Torn Between Two Worlds

Adele may be heading back to familiar ground. The singer has reportedly returned to London to work on new music, but her life in California still makes the next chapter complicated.

The singer is reportedly balancing a return to London with the life she’s built in California

Adele is reportedly feeling pulled between Los Angeles and London as rumors grow about her next career move. The singer has spent years building a private life in California with her son, Angelo, and partner Rich Paul. Still, her hometown appears to be calling again.

Mirror reported that Adele has been back in the United Kingdom while working on music, and she now feels torn between the life she has in Los Angeles and her London roots. That tension makes sense for a singer whose music has always leaned heavily on place, memory, and emotion.

The Adele new music buzz started building last month after reports claimed she had returned to Church Studios in North London. Contactmusic reported that Adele had been writing and recording there after ending her Las Vegas residency in 2024.

The studio choice also feels meaningful. Church Studios, located in Crouch End, is owned by producer Paul Epworth, who has worked with Adele before. The Sun also reported that she had quietly flown from Los Angeles to London for studio sessions, sparking hopes that a major music comeback could be taking shape.

Still, fans should not treat a new album as confirmed just yet. Adele has not announced a release date, title, or full comeback plan. Adele told fans she needed a long break after a heavy run of performances. During her Munich residency, she said she had spent years building a new life and wanted to live it.

That personal life remains a major factor. Adele chose a residency format partly because she did not want a full tour to disrupt her son’s routine. So, her next move may not be a simple London comeback or a permanent California chapter. Instead, Adele seems to be trying to balance both worlds: the home that made her and the home she has built.
