Prince Harry appeared on an episode of the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast, released on July 13. The duo was discussing how they cope with trauma when Marler stated that the resilience of his four kids inspires him. The Duke of Sussex admitted that he felt the same way. He said, “Yes, I think you’re absolutely right. And also, kids remind you not to take yourself too seriously as well.”
He continued, “The resilience of kids is amazing, and the way that they view life is so incredibly refreshing.” Harry then went on to reveal, “If a day is hard, one thing I will do is always squeeze my kids that extra, extra tight.” He shares both kids, 7-year-old Archie and 5-year-old Lilibet, with his wife, Meghan Markle.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2018 and moved to California after stepping down as working royals in 2020, were originally going to visit the United Kingdom with their kids earlier this month. However, there were some changes in that plan after the Sussexes’ heated exchange with the palace regarding security arrangements (via PEOPLE).
Ultimately, on Friday, July 10, Markle and their kids joined Prince Harry in the U.K. to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla. The royal family reunion was a private event at Highgrove House, the king’s private country residence in Gloucestershire.
This marked the first time Markle and the little ones met the king and the queen in four years. The last time they met was in 2022 in England for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. No other details or photos have been revealed from the recent family reunion.
