Brianna LaPaglia has challenged the way Bunnie Xo continues to speak about Jelly Roll during their divorce. The podcaster believes Bunnie is still protecting her estranged husband despite the pain surrounding their split.

On the latest episode of PlanBri Uncut, LaPaglia questioned Bunnie’s support for Jelly Roll and claimed she remained under his “mind control.” She pointed to posts from Bunnie’s close friends that criticized the singer and argued that those messages contradicted Bunnie’s public stance.
“Bunnie is just doing the thing where she’s still protecting him,” LaPaglia said on PlanBri Uncut. She compared the situation to a period when she defended an ex before fully processing the relationship, an apparent reference to her breakup from Zach Bryan.
LaPaglia also argued that Bunnie helped build Jelly Roll’s career and public image. She said the singer’s love for his wife had once been his “only redeeming thing” and questioned how his outlook changed after his weight loss.
The comments reflect LaPaglia’s personal opinions. She did not provide evidence to support her claim that Jelly Roll controls Bunnie or that his weight loss contributed to their divorce. Bunnie has shared a different account of the separation. She previously said the couple struggled to communicate and described their habit of holding in disagreements as a “recipe for disaster.” Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Tennessee on May 18 after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Despite the split, Bunnie has repeatedly called Jelly Roll her best friend. She also said they still plan to welcome a child together and praised how they handled their divorce settlement. Bunnie has also discussed the support she gave Jelly Roll before his fame. She recently said she used money from sex work to cover bills and help fund his music career.
LaPaglia’s remarks appear to be shaped in part by her own experience with Zach Bryan. However, Bunnie has not suggested that the two relationships are directly comparable. For now, LaPaglia’s criticism adds another perspective to a divorce that Bunnie and Jelly Roll have publicly described in supportive terms.
