The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas and her husband Shawn Trujillo have separated.
The former couple, who married in June 1999, share a 15-year-old daughter, Elektra, celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary last month. At the time, Angie’s Instagram followers noticed that there was no post marking the special occasion.

A year ago on June 13, 2025, Angie gushed, “A Hair Affair #26YEARS. Seems like yesterday I booked an appointment for a blowdry with this dreamy guy I saw on the cover of a romance novel in the grocery store checkout. Long hair like Fabio, big muscles, and known to be lethal with scissors. The rest is HAIRstory.”
Though Page Six reached out to Bravo and their fellow hairstylists, no official comment has yet been released. And while filming for RHOSLC Season 7 just wrapped in late May, we don’t yet know if we’ll see the marriage breakdown on the show.
After denying Season 4 rumors that Shawn cheated on her “with several men,” Angie was hurt that her castmates would spread the chatter. Her husband also rejected the alleged lies.
“For me, it’s not a gay-straight thing; it’s an infidelity thing,” Angie told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live at the time. It was a response celebrated by their LGBTQ+ fans.
“We love our gay community,” Shawn added. “We’ve been embedded in it for 30 years now just based on what we do for our business. But I’m here to support Angie, and I’ll take the hits.”
In addition, when he was accused of having “far right views” in December 2025, Shawn defended himself by claiming he was more of a “centrist” politically. “I have tremendous support for the LGBTQ community and the ability to have every right we all have,” he said at the time.
Despite weathering that situation, followers noticed Shawn following several divorce-related Instagram accounts. Though he insisted his activity had “nothing to do with” his marriage, suspicion had been raised.
