When their moms were both stars on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Ariana Biermann and Riley Burruss became friends. But they hadn’t actually seen each other for years until they reconnected on Next Gen NYC.
After becoming besties again, the two had a few awkward scenes on a recent episode of the Bravo series. Now, Ariana is updating fans on where they stand.

In Next Gen NYC Season 2, Riley got into a drunken fight, seemingly out of nowhere, with castmate Georgia McCann. Viewers of the show know there has never been any love lost between the two castmates. They got off on the wrong foot in Season 1 and just haven’t been able to make peace with each other.
When the cast was having pizza together, Riley made an odd comment about Georgia using ketamine. When Georgia questioned her, Riley told her to “shut the f*ck up” and “relax” before “I slap this piece of pizza on your face.” She even seemingly threatened to throw a drink at Georgia. At this point, it became apparent that Riley had likely been overserved.
To be fair, Riley’s parents, mom Kandi Burruss and step-dad Todd Tucker, were going through a split. And she’s admitted to having “a hard time” with the split.
But the day after the fight, Riley confronted her BFF Ariana for not stepping in sooner. She seemed to blame her for allowing the argument to escalate, rather than putting a stop to it.
On June 22, Ariana appeared on Watch What Happens Live. A viewer asked, “[Did ] Riley put too much blame on you for her behavior, and has she apologized after watching the episode?”
“I wouldn’t say that,” Ariana responded. “I think that, you know, how everyone feels is valid … If she didn’t feel I supported her, I wanted [to know] how to do it better. But, no, she didn’t apologize to me and actually hasn’t spoken to me since [the episode] came out.”
Next Gen NYC airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams the next day on Peacock.
