Harry Jowsey reveals the heartbreaking moment that changed his life
Harry Jowsey, in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, spoke about his views on relationships. He described himself as a “lovable idiot.” He said, “It couldn’t be more inaccurate. In the past I leaned very much into it when I realized that’s not me.”
Jowsey is known for his appearance in dating shows like Heartbreak Island Australia, Too Hot to Handle, Match Me If You Can and Perfect Match. He added, “I haven’t [always] shown up in the most respectful ways [but] I’m almost 30. You’ve gotta wrap it up at some point.”
Jowsey is starring in the upcoming show Let’s Marry Harry on Netflix. While talking about the show, he said, “If you watch the show, you’ll see I’m ready.”
While talking about the new show, he shared how his father’s death from a terminal illness in 2024 was a reality check for him that changed his perspective. He said, “It made me pivot on who I want to be and who I want to present to the world.”
The loss pushed him to reflect on his future. He said, “My biggest dream is to be a Will Ferrell or Kevin Hart. Obviously I’m not anywhere near as funny or talented, but I love making people happy. That’s always been my purpose.”
He recalled his final conversation with his dad, saying his dad told him, “I wish you could meet my children.” Hearing those words made him realize, “This is something I’ve neglected and something I need to put energy and time into.”
Jowsey added that while losing anyone has always been difficult, when it was his dad, it changed something: “[Let’s get a] bit more serious about love and life.”
Jowsey will be appearing on the upcoming eight-episode Netflix show Let’s Marry Harry in August.
