Royal Family commentator Dee Dee Dunleavy has reportedly declared that King Charles is being “too soft” on Prince Harry. This comes amid reports that the King is looking to mend ties with his younger, estranged son, despite Prince William’s feelings. Royal commentator Dee Dee Dunleavy labelled King Charles as being “too soft” on Prince Harry despite Prince William’s strained relationship with his brother. Dunleavy discussed the matter with host Rita Panahi on News 24 (via Express.co.uk).
The royal family expert shared that the monarch was letting his parental love for Prince Harry take over and was not paying any heed to his older son’s feelings. Dunleavy said, “Yeah, I think there’s a danger that King Charles is being too soft here, and overly conciliatory to Harry.”
She added, “Number one, for me, would be William’s feelings. William’s been doing all the hard work. Harry just left any duties that he had and left it all to William to do. You think of kids in the family, sibling rivalry, and how they fight. It’s going to be harder to get those two to sort things out.”
For the unversed, Panahi has previously claimed that the Sussexes had “trashed” the legacy of Queen Elizabeth. She chimed in and accused Markle of attacking Catherine, Princess of Wales, when the latter was battling cancer. “And I think it’s gonna be very hard for William to forgive and forget that also,” she added.
Dunleavy argued that Harry should apologise to the royal family for his various “attacks” on them over the years. She said: “Harry has to apologise to the family before he can be welcomed back into the fold. And I don’t think he should be given a room at Buckingham Palace. He’s not a working royal. I think Charles has gone way too soft on him.”
Panahi echoed Dunleavy’s sentiments and argued that since Harry publicly berated the royal family, he must apologize publicly as well.
