Selleck remembered a British woman approaching him as Travolta and Diana danced. He remembered her saying, “This is terrible. Mr. Travolta is dancing a second dance with the princess. We don’t want to start any rumors, you must cut in.” He said he was turned down because everyone liked to watch the two dancing together. After the memorable moment, he danced with Princess Diana himself.

The actor declined to comment extensively on President Donald Trump when asked his opinion on him by CNN. “Well he’s certainly a mixed bag,” Selleck said before adding, “I stay out of the current political world.
