Prince William May Back King Charles’ ‘Painful’ Prince Harry Decision for One Reason — Report

Prince William may reportedly stand behind King Charles’ tough call on Prince Harry. The claim has once again placed the British royal family at the center of speculation. Since his younger son and Meghan Markle stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020, the reigning monarch has worked to balance family relationships amid ongoing tensions.

Broadcaster reveals Prince William might support King Charles’ olive branch to Prince Harry for major reason

Prince William is unlikely to forgive Prince Harry for his previous remarks about the Firm. However, reports suggest that he may support his father’s efforts to reconcile with the Duke of Sussex. The Prince of Wales hasn’t seen his brother in a while, but King Charles had a meeting with Harry only weeks ago.

The father-son duo has crossed paths a few times in the UK since the Duke moved to America. However, sources report that tensions persist. This is largely due to Prince Harry’s comments about the monarchy in documentaries, media interviews, and his 2023 book, “Spare”. Now, per the Daily Express, it appears that the King may be open to forgiving his estranged son.

Signs of this came weeks ago, when His Majesty reportedly offered Prince Harry rooms at Buckingham Palace for a September visit. A July offer for his last visit expired after the Duke took too long to confirm.

Prince William might not personally endorse the invitation, but sources suggest that he would back it in the interest of the institution. Here, it would signal the King mending fences with Harry after years of tension.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard said, “William believes the monarchy must be seen to do the right thing, even when it’s painful. From what I understand, he felt his father didn’t handle that firmly enough. He also believes in protecting it by drawing hard lines. But he’s not the king yet.”

That said, the royal heir reportedly has no desire to reconcile with his brother because of his actions over the past few years.
