Vicki Gunvalson addressed speculation about her children’s relationship after son Michael Wolfsmith revealed they had not seen each other in nearly eight years. The Real Housewives of Orange County star insisted there was no family feud. She said distance, not conflict, kept her children apart.

Speaking to E! News, Vicki rejected claims that Michael and Briana Culberson were estranged. She said the siblings speak regularly despite living far apart. Michael lives in Spain while Briana lives in another state. Vicki insisted they have always shared a close bond.
“They’re not estranged,” Vicki told the outlet. “They talk all the time; they just haven’t seen each other.” She also added, “They’re fine! It’s these internet bloggers that lie.” Vicki urged critics to stop spreading false narratives.
Her comments followed Michael’s revelation on The Real Housewives of Orange County. He said he had not seen Briana in eight years. Michael also revealed he had not met two of her children. Later, he clarified on Instagram that they still communicate through family group chats.
Michael said he would prefer seeing Briana in person more often. However, he explained that travel, distance, and timing made visits difficult. He also admitted he did not “get along” well with Briana’s husband, Ryan Culberson. Still, he never suggested he and Briana had stopped speaking.
Vicki also defended Briana’s decision to remain out of the spotlight. She said her daughter enjoys a quiet life with her family. According to Vicki, Briana prefers privacy over reality television. She said she respected that choice completely.
The RHOC veteran shared the update while promoting The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th. She said celebrating the franchise’s milestone reminded her to appreciate every moment with loved ones.
