Amanda Frances will not carry a diamond into another year of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Sources close to the show told TMZ that producers never asked the Season 15 newcomer back for Season 16.
Her exit follows a bumpy first year on the Bravo series. She butted heads with Dorit Kemsley, and castmate Bozoma Saint John accused her of building a “cult” through her business.
The one and done outcome may catch her off guard. She said recently that she saw a “good chance” of Bravo extending another invitation, though she admitted she had not decided whether she would take it.
Speaking to “Extra,” she described how much the commitment demanded of her. Filming and promoting the show swallowed roughly a year of her life, she said, and it occupied a considerable amount of “psychological space” while she kept her business running.
However, Amanda Frances framed the departure on her own terms in a lengthy Instagram post. “My time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is complete. Saying yes to this show was one of the boldest, wildest, most clarifying things I’ve ever done. And I am genuinely grateful,” she wrote.
She thanked viewers who she said “saw me, rooted for me, challenged me, quoted me, misunderstood me, defended me, found my work, bought my books, or simply watched me try to explain metaphysics in a room full of diamonds and side-eyes.”
Moreover, she pointed to a packed calendar ahead. She is releasing a teaching memoir on August 18, marrying her partner this fall and continuing the work she has done for over 15 years.
“And while this show gave me an incredible platform— A platform is not the same thing as a foundation. And of the greatest gifts of the experience was seeing just how strong my foundation actually is,” she added.
She closed with a message for anyone watching. “Your next move does not require anyone’s approval. Your evolution does not need a permission slip. And you can be grateful for an opportunity and know when it’s time to leave.”
