Are you guys ready for Real Housewives of Orange County? They filmed this season during a pandemic, y’all! They came to play and not even Kelly Dodd’s idiotic coronavirus comments could derail this train. So let’s dive in and see what these over-ripe oranges are up to.
We open up with a really ominous beach scene because what is more ominous than Newport Beach. Newport Beach, new cast members, new beginnings, new hips for Emily Simpson. New new new. Everything that you want to see in a fresh season of Real Housewives. And not a Vicki Gunvalson or Tamra Judge in sight.
Even though Real Housewives is technically a reality TV show, we don’t see anyone’s true reality. Of course, it’s impossible to show the entirety of anyone’s life. However, some of these Housewives sure do hide a lot. And by “a lot” I mean lawsuits on lawsuits on lawsuits.
But, aside from legal issues the women are trying to hide, what else are they trying to keep from the show? Well, apparently, there’s a West Coast Housewife who’s trying hard to hide her husband’s affair.
Speculation continues to surround the Real Housewives of
Glendale Beverly Hills. To be clear, this franchise has been suffering. A virulent strain of plague struck some of the ladies. The World Health Organization has labeled it, Myhusbandhascommittedfrauditis. Sadly, the recovery time is rather slow. The infection manifests itself in creating diversions in an attempt to hide what’s really happening with your wallet.
As a result, the cast has had some shake ups. Who is coming in? Are any more going out? Will Kyle Richards keep her bangs? It looks like some of our questions have finally been answered. There is new blood coming in, but it appears no one else is leaving. We have no official word that anyone else was #firedbybravo and according to Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne, they are ready to get back in the game.
Things aren’t always as they appear, especially on reality TV. Sometimes, a person seems like she’s happily married. And, then, all of a sudden, there’s a divorce filing in the news.
Word on the street, and by “street” I mean “according to a blind item on Instagram” a Real Housewife recently separated from her husband. As the term “blind item” suggests, no specific names were mentioned, but there were plenty of hints to narrow things down.
I’ll wait… Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Rinna is a hustler of epic proportions. Adult diapers? She’s sold them. Sassy dusters with a lightweight fabric? Old news to her. Shitty attitude? That’s been on clearance for about three seasons now. To say Lisa isn’t well-versed in the art of retail is like saying Kyle Richards doesn’t enjoy a co-dependent relationship.
After making bank at QVC and receiving checks from RHOBH, what else does Rinna need to do? Now her sights are set on the beauty industry. Oh hell, why not. If Kyle can have a line of clothing at NY Fashion Week, is this so bizarre? Who doesn’t want to buy beauty products from someone who has had the same hair for twenty years? But nothing stops the Rinna machine and with that, she is launching Rinna Beauty.
The early years of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills revolved around the tension and animosity between Kyle Richards and her sister Kim Richards. Kyle outed Kim as an alcoholic in the back of a limo during the season 1 finale. They also spent that whole first season reminding people that they’re Paris Hilton’s aunts, a fun fact that has lost its luster in recent years. Kyle sided with Lisa Rinna when she threw a glass at Kim during the cast trip in Amsterdam.
Then, Kim and Kathy Hilton took issue with Kyle for producing a
failed scripted series based on their family. Kyle has had many ups and downs with both Kim and Kathy over the years. Still, we have seen some small cameo appearances from Kathy throughout the years. Now, there are rumblings that Kathy will join the cast for Season 11.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans rejoiced this week when Teddi Mellencamp admitted to being fired. Finally! Some good news in 2020. Teddi never really found her footing on the show. Sure, she’s John Mellencamp’s shadow daughter and she took on Lisa Vanderpump in her second season. But everything else was zzzzzzzzzz. Who even wants to talk about it anymore?
Aside from Kyle Richards, Teddi was not close with any of the women on the show. Let’s be honest, Dorit Kemsley didn’t care if she left her waiting and Erika Jayne has probably never forgotten her “pretend amnesia” comments. So she’s not getting much of a send-off from anyone other than her one advocate.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has finally come to an end. It felt like forever. Primarily because we got yet another one-story season. We’ve had panty-gate. Last year it was puppy-gate. This year it was cl*t-gate. Next year who knows what we’ll get, but it better not be a mean-girl pile on. Yeah, I said it. Kyle Richards is the Regina George of RHOBH– only not as iconic. Erika Jayne is totally a Karen, Lisa Rinna isRegina’s desperate mom, and Teddi Mellencamp is Gretchen Weiners, the friend everyone overlooks. Thankfully though Teddi got fired. Have fun berating people on 500 calories a day!
Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais were the only two non-mean girls this season. Garcelle is such a loyal friend she even stated that if Denise Richards left, she would too. Now that Denise has left the building after two seasons, is Garcelle going to follow?
