Olivia Rodrigo has once again taken a swipe at President Donald Trump, this time by showing her support for Planned Parenthood in a new social media video. The singer appeared in a promotional clip for Daisy Chain Fields, her upcoming all-women music festival. This highlights the impact of recent funding cuts on the reproductive healthcare provider. The video caption read, “lawmakers: don’t go, go making decisions where you don’t belong.”
Olivia Rodrigo joined a Planned Parenthood campaign criticizing the Trump administration’s policies
In the video, shared on Daisy Chain Fields’s Instagram and X accounts, Rodrigo and a group of women are first seen standing serious. At that moment, the text on the screen reads, “Learning that nearly 30 Planned Parenthood health centers have closed since President Trump signed a law ‘defunding’ Planned Parenthood.” The mood then shifts as the women begin dancing to Rodrigo’s song My Way, while the message changes to, “But we’ll never stop fighting for sexual and reproductive health care!!!”
Olivia Rodrigo has been a longtime supporter of Planned Parenthood. In 2025, she received the organization’s Catalyst of Change Award for her advocacy.
Reacting to the singer’s latest campaign, Planned Parenthood Federation of America President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson praised Rodrigo’s continued support, “It means the world to us that Olivia is so deeply engaged in the fight for abortion rights”.
The video also drew supportive reactions from several social media users. One user wrote, “period! no uterus, no opinion.” Another commented, “Planned Parenthood is overall an excellent thing in a society with horrific sexual education in schools. However, because this festival is about much more than abortion as birth control and gender affirming care on minors, I’ll reserve my opinion for a more appropriate time.” A third user added, “Everyday we get closer to a dystopia. I salute you ladies for standing up against it!”
This isn’t the first time Rodrigo has publicly spoken out against Trump. In June, she criticized the White House after it used one of her songs in a social media post promoting ICE.
